London-based marketing agency Two Circles has been chosen by National Hockey League franchise the San Jose Sharks to sell the team’s jersey patch sponsorship rights.

Sharks President Jonathan Becher said that Two Circles was selected from an initial field of five or six agencies.

This follows last month’s news that Major League Baseball’s Philadelphia Phillies also chose the Two Circles agency to sell its jersey rights, starting with the 2023 season.

After significant success in the European market Two Circles, winners of Agency of the Year at the Sport Industry Awards 2022 in May, is now looking to build out its presence in the US.

England Netball has unveiled South East-based community creator Thakeham Group as its first-ever sustainability partner.

The link-up between Thakeham and England Netball will see them partner on a series of new campaigns and initiatives to inspire the organisation, players and all involved in the sport to become more environmentally aware.

Fran Connolly, CEO of England Netball, said, “We are delighted to announce this pioneering new partnership with Thakeham Group. Creating a sustainable sport in the future is a strategic priority for us as, as part of our new 10-year Adventure Strategy for netball, and to partner with an award-winning community creator like Thakeham reflects our commitment to raising environmental awareness across our Netball Family.

“We look forward to working closely with Thakeham to inform and inspire positive sustainable change across netball at every level of the game.”

Royal London, a UK-based mutual life and pensions provider, has shown its commitment to the ACE Programme partnership by sharing naming rights for the 1st ODI between England and India, that took place on 12th July.

The fixture, that was played at The Kia Oval, was officially renamed the ‘Royal London x ACE One Day International’ and was the first fifty-over game of the highly anticipated July series.

The ACE programme, set up in 2020 by former England and Surrey cricketer Ebony Rainford-Brent, has the express mission of ‘supporting diverse talent from the grassroots to the elite.’ To date, ACE has trialled hundreds of young people, launched its own academy and given out 110 scholarships.
